From a slow WooCommerce shop to a fast site built around one e-book
Marija sells Zdravo Sutra, an e-book with 65+ healthy recipes, on a site in Serbian. We audited her WordPress and WooCommerce shop, then rebuilt it in Astro with Payhip checkout.

The Challenge
Our audit of the old WordPress and WooCommerce site found the language set to Bosnian instead of Serbian, PayPal as the only working payment, no bank transfer details, unpublished legal pages, leftover demo content and no SEO plugin. On the old site we measured Lighthouse performance of about 59 and LCP of about 20.9 s.
The Approach
Instead of fixing WooCommerce for one e-book, we rebuilt the site in Astro and let Payhip handle checkout. We built a design system in forest green, caramel and cream with Montserrat, then every page and a blog Marija writes herself in Keystatic Cloud. We moved her content, photos and testimonials, redirected the old URLs and moved the domain to Netlify.

SEO setup: JSON-LD, sitemap, OG tags, 301 redirects from old URLs and Google Search Console
Domain and DNS moved to Netlify, with content, photos and testimonials from the old site
Lighthouse performance 94 on mobile and 100 on desktop, LCP 1.8 s on mobile and 0.7 s on desktop. Measured with Lighthouse in October 2026. Scores can move a few points between runs.
